Kementerian Pembangunan Daerah Tertinggal Republik Indonesia - Kementerian PDT or the Ministry for The Development of Disadvantaged Regions of Republic Indonesia is a ministry in the Indonesian government which oversees the field of development of disadvantaged regions. The Ministry's main task is to assist the President of Republic of Indonesia in formulating policies and coordination in the field of development of disadvantaged regions. The Ministry is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Abdul Muis No 7 Jakarta Pusat 10110. Kementerian PDT was led by a Minister who is under and responsible to the President of Republic Indonesia. Since 2009, Helmy Faishal Zaini was appointed by the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the the Minister of the Ministry for The Development of Disadvantaged Regions of Republic Indonesia. Helmy Faishal Zaini is replacing Mohammad Lukman Edy. The Minister is assisted by 5 deputies and 5 expert staff.
