We are currently looking candidates to fill in the position of :Solution Architect - Partner Enablement
Essential Skills / Experience:- Extensive technical knowledge in system design, application architecture and IT operation.
- Excellent understanding of open standards IT architectures, including Java and UNIX technology and IT operations.
- Knowledge of competitive environment and alternative technology solutions / approaches.
- Deep technical foundation in two or three areas of Data Centre, Storage and Middleware.
- Able to translate business requirements into technology strategy with clear business benefit in terms of Total Cost of Ownership and delivery of business outcomes.
- Ability to clearly translate highly technical information to people of varying levels of technical aptitude.
- Ability to engage senior technical personnel, consultants, and architects.
- Ability to lead external and Sun internal resources on project and program development.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Knowledge and skills in SAP and/or Oracle is a plus.
- Project management experience/skill is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years experiences in consulting pre-sales, solutions delivery and/or technical account management roles.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or above.
Storage Solution Architect
POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, documenting, and presenting storage solutions for new and existing customers.
- The Solution Architect will be required to maintain a strong knowledge of emerging storage technologies and to provide input to the sales team and customer regarding continuous improvement opportunities.
- The Solution Architect will be committed to developing loyal and successful partners by clearly identifying and understanding both customer and supplier requirements and providing services and products to meet or exceed their expectations.
- Interact with sales team
- Develop and design large scale storage or network solutions for customers
- Identify customers requirements, evaluates alternatives and makes product recommendations regarding software, platform, and/or network configurations
- Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to discuss requirements and to perform demonstrations
- Create technical marketing presentations on software, platform, and/or network issues and software vendors which Pioneer represents
- Work in coordination with customers and sales staff to resolve software, platform, and/or network design/configuration issues
- Calls on customer accounts with the sales staff and demonstrates and advises customers on software, platform, and/or network configurations and capabilities
- Provides technical training to sales personnel
- Responsible for advising and documenting the technical plan within the assigned account plan
- Excellent communications and analytical skills
- Perform self-study and certification testing
- Attend manufacturer sponsored training and events
- Participate in manufacturer sponsored beta tests
- Perform other duties as required
Technical Experience:
- 5-8 years direct experience with Storage and Network infrastructures
- BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Relevant industry certifications or equivalent experience
