Qatalum is the largest Greenfield Aluminium project ever to be executed. The project is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Hydro. When the plant comes in operation in late 2009 it will be one of the largest and most competitive primary aluminium plants in the world, with a production capacity of 585,000 MT per year. The smelter, casthouse, carbon and power plant will employ between 1100 - 1200 people. The plant is located at Mesaieed in Qatar, some 40 kilometers from the capital Doha. Prepare, develope and deliver training materials and schedule to meet company competency based learning principles and requirements. Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent. Broad experience and skills in field of specific responsibility i.e. (Technical, Administration, Carbon, Casthouse, Reduction). Minimum 5 years experience as instructor in listed disciplines within heavy industry, or as trainer or technical teacher in Training & Development. Higher qualifications in disciplines would be an advantage.

Environmental Monitoring Coordinator
Provide environmental sampling, monitoring and reports on results of information, and advice on how to deal with the results. Provide technical expertise, leadership and support in the environment area. Bachelor degree in environmental sciences or similar discipline. Minimum 3 years experience in similar position in production/industrial operations. Experience in environmental monitoring requirements in aluminium and/or power industry would be an advantage.Environmental Service Coordinator

Responsible for HSE communications, including processing and distribution of all HSE statistical data and reports. Provide primary support to Company employees on HSE Systems and Programs. Bachelor degree in communication, information technology or Commerce, with at least 2 years experience in a similar position, or Diploma with 5 years experience. Must be fluent in English language (written and spoken - knowledge of Arabic an advantage).
