The Water and Sanitation Program (WASAP) aims to support the Government of Indonesia (GoI) in addressing key gaps in sector activity to achieve its overching goal for sector reform and investment. To strengthen the program, the World Bank Office in Jakarta is recruiting for the position of:


Technical and Institutional Specialist
Job # 082295

The applicant should possess the following characteristics:
  • A Master or equivalent level degree in business, finance, management (or related) subject
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in water and sanitation programs, project management, institutional understanding and finance, with strong emphasis in a managerial position
  • Understand complex institutional, technical and management arrangements
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, design and implement major project and to produce major/complex reports or studies
  • Demonstrates substantial and diverse experience in all facets of this related position
  • Ability to work in teams in a matrix management and multi-cultural environments and build effective relations with clients and development partners, including strong inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively with senior government and sector officials
  • Ability to coach/mentor junior staff
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
