After several changes of name, the name of PT Bio Farma (Persero) officially established in 1997 under the  Government Regulation No 1 of 1997. Headquartered in Bandung West Java, Bio Farma runs its business through 2 office facilities; Pasteur office facility in Pasteur Bandung (for R&D, marketing, and administration office) and Cisarua Lembang office facility in Cisarua Lembang Bandung (for breeding and maintenance of laboratory animals). Bio Farma's business results in 2014 showed improved performance compared to 2013. According to PT Bio Farma (Persero) Annual Report 2014 as cited by JobsCDC.com, the state-owned vaccine company reported total net sales of Rp 2,044.08 billion in 2014. This figures equivalent with an increase of 5.04% from Rp 1,946.04 billion in 2013. Total comprehensive profit in 2014 amounted to Rp 580.45 billion, an increase of 15.37% as compared with Rp 503.12 billion in 2013.
