PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) - Jiwasraya is a long standing Indonesian life insurance company and is fully-owned by the Government of Indonesia. Jiwasraya was first established in 1859 as a Dutch Company named Nederlandsch Indiesche Levensverzekering en Liffrente Maatschappij van 1859 (NILLMIJ).
Later in 1960, PT Perusahaan Pertanggungan Djiwa Sedjahtera was formed
as a nationalization results of NILLMIJ. In 1973, this company was
officially organised under the name of PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero). Headquartered in Jakarta, Jiwasraya runs its business through 17 regional offices, 71 branch offices spread across Indonesia. The Company also supported by a total of more than 1,075 employees and 13,562 insurance agents.
Jiwasraya booked an increase in its operational performance in 2015. According to Jiwasraya's latest financial report as cited by JobsCDC.com, Jiwasraya effectively recorded an increase in total revenue by 42.80%, which is Rp 11,086.30 billion in 2015, compared to Rp 7,763.08 billion in 2014. Total profit after tax went up by 61.24% from Rp 661.68 billion in 2014 to Rp 1,066.89 billion in 2015.
