Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal Republik Indonesia - BKPM is the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board. BKPM is a non ministrial agency in Indonesia with main task to boost investment in Indonesia both domestic and foreign direct investment through creating a conducive investment climate. The Agency was established in 1973 to replace the functions of Panitia Teknis Penanaman Modal. BKPM is based in Jakarta and its head office is registered at Jl Jend Gatot Subroto 44 Jakarta. Since October 2013,  Deputy Finance Minister Mahendra Siregar was appointed by the President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as the Chairman of BKPM to replace Muhamad Chatib Basri. The Chairman of BKPM is under and responsible directly to the President of the Republic Indonesia.
