Kementerian Pertanian Republik Indonesia - Kementrian Pertanian or the Ministry of Agriculture Republic of Indonesia is an Indonesian government ministry responsible for the oversight of Agriculture affairs in Indonesia. The Ministry was formerly known as the Departement of Agriculture (Indonesian : Departemen Pertanian - Deptan). Kementerian Pertanian is based in Jakarta and headquartered in Jl Harsono RM No 3, Ragunan - Jakarta 12550. Since October 2009, The Ministry of Agriculture is headed by Suswono as the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan), replacing Anton Apriantono. He is assisted by Rusman Heriawan as a vice minister. To carry out his duties, the Minister of Agriculture also supported by 5 expert staff, 5 Directorate General, and 5 agencies under the ministry of agriculture.
