Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal Republik Indonesia - BKPM or the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board is a non ministrial institution in Indonesian Government with main task to boost investment in Indonesia both domestic and foreign direct investment through creating a conducive investment climate. BKPM was formed in 1973 to replace the functions of Panitia Teknis Penanaman Modal. The Agency is based in Jakarta and headquartered in Jl Jend Gatot Subroto 44 Jakarta. The Agency is under and responsible to the President of the Republic Indonesia. Since June 2012, BKPM is chaired by Muhamad Chatib Basri. The Chairman of BKPM is assisted by 6 deputy, namely Deputy of Investment Planning, Deputy of Investment Climate and Development, Deputy of Investment Promotion, Deputy of Investment Cooperation, Deputy of Investment Services, and Deputy of Investment Controlling and Implementation.
