Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan - LPS or the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (IDIC) is the independent financial institution in Indonesia with main duties promote a sound and stable banking system in Indonesia. LPS was founded  to insure bank depositors’ deposits and also to maintain the stability of the banking system. LPS was formed by the Government of Indonesia based on virtue of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 24 of 2004 concerning the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation/IDIC (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan/LPS). LPS is based in Jakarta and its secretariat office is registered at Equity Tower Lt 20-21, Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD) Lot 9 - Jl Jend Sudirman Kav 52-53, Jakarta 12190. In terms of financial performance, LPS posted an increase of  26.53% in total assets to Rp34.88 trillion in 2012. LPS’s operating income in 2012 worth of Rp7.78 trillion, representing a growth of 21.36% compared to the previous year. This figures was stated by LPS in its Annual Report 2012 as quoted by JobsCDC.com.
