PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) - PT KAI (Persero) or commonly known as KAI is a state railway operator in Indonesia and is 100% owned by by the Government of Indonesia. PT KAI performing business in railways-based transportation services in Java and Sumatera, including passenger services, cargo transportation, and also assets managements. The Comppany is based in Bandung West Java and owned 9 DAOP offices, 3 DIVRE offices, 2 sub DIVRE offices, 8 Balai Yasa yards, and 6 directly owned subsidiaries. To support the daily operations, PT KAI operated 489 units of locomotive, 1,716 units train, 6,249 units of freight train, 754 units of Light rail (KRL), and 166 units of Diesel rail (KRD). According to PT KAI's latest annual report (PT KAI Annual Report 2012) as cited by JobsCDC.com, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) successfully maintained profitability with posted total nett profit of Rp425 billion for the end of 2012.
