PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) - PT KAI (Persero) or commonly known as KAI is an Indonesian state owned train operator. The Company was formed in 28 September 1945 as Djawatan Kereta Api Republik Indonesia (DKARI). The name of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) was launched in 2010. KAI headquartered in Bandung West Java and supported by 6 (six) directly owned subsidiaries that engaged in various businesses to support the parent company's business, namely PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek, PT KAI Logistik, PT KAI Pariwisata, PT Railink, PT Reska Multi Usaha, and PT KAI Property Management. According to KAI's latest annual report (KAI Annual Report 2012) as cited by JobsCDC.com, the Company's performance in 2012 improved over the previous year. KAI reaped Rp425 billion in nett profit in 2012, just shy of 111.44 percent more than Rp 201 billion during the same period last year.
