Kota Pontianak - Pontianak or the City of Pontianak is a capital city of the Province of West Kalimantan, Indonesia situated in the delta of the Kapuas River. The City has a nickname of Kota Khatulistiwa or Equator City, because of located almost precisely on the equator. The City of Pontianak occupies an area of 107.82 km² and administratively divided into 6 districts, namely East Pontianak, North Pontianak, Pontianak City, South Pontianak, South East Pontianak, and West Pontianak. is lead by a Mayor, and since 2005 held by Sutarmidji. He is assisted by Paryadi as a vice
